Lexi Garcia has been a part of the Performing Arts Academy for the past 15 years. She started dancing at the age of 2 and became a member of the competition team at 6 years old.

Throughout her time dancing, Lexi has been awarded many titles and scholarship opportunities which include, ADA Junior Dancer of the Year, USTD Junior Miss Dance, USTD Teen Miss Dance, USTD International Queen of Dance National Title, Encore Super Senior Soloist, Encore Highest Scoring 13& over performance, Kids For Kids Miss Diamond Dancer 2016- New Jersey, M&I Dancewear “Judges Award for Excellence” junior and senior division, George Lon Memorial Inspiration Award, Aneilia Lon Memorial Humanitarian Award, USTD Passion for Dance Award, Kids for Kids “Poppy’s Pick” Award and received a scholarship to the Relativity Media summer intensive in California.

Recently, Lexi made her professional debut as Clarice in Carnegie Hall’s 125th Anniversary Rendition of West Side Story.

Lexi also has danced at Central Park, The Hammerstein Ballroom, The Joyce Theater, Symphony Space, The Prudential Center, Hershey Park, and The Trump Taj Mahal Resorts and World Casino in KTU’s Beatstock, Freestyle for All and I LOVE 80’s and 90’s concert. She has also performed at Universal Studios and Disney World as a United States Dance Team member for the past 8 years.

Aside from her dance accomplishments, Lexi continues to be a dedicated student. She has been a member of the National Honor Society and has participated in Student Government, Relay for Life, March of Dimes and the STARS program which helps children with special needs.

Lexi looks forward to attending Montclair State University in the fall of 2016 where she will be studying Business Management and Administration at the Feliciano School of Business. Lexi also will be continuing her dance education by taking classes in New York City and going on auditions.

Lexi loves to express her passion for dance throughout her life and she looks forward to continue to share that with her students.
