Danika became a member of the Performing Arts Academy family at the age of 2 and joined the competition team at age 6. She is trained in various styles of dance including hip hop, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, musical theatre, tap, and acrobatics. Throughout her time competing, Danika won numerous titles and scholarships including, ADA Young Dancer of the Year, Petite Shining Star, International Princess, International Queen, Passion for Dance Award, Jump Jazz and Contemporary Scholarship Recipient, and numerous special awards for stage presence and emotional content.
In addition, she has been a member of the United States Dance Team since 2008, performing at Madison Square Garden, Hershey Park, Disney, Universal, the Intrepid, and for Broadway Cares.
Professionally, Danika performed as a backup dancer at several concerts including KTU’s BeatStock, Freestyle for all, I love the 80’s, and Discoball at Trump Taj Mahal and Resorts World Casino. She also had the opportunity to perform at Madison Square Garden for World Tennis Day.
Danika’s passion for dance has lead her to her most recent accomplishment as a recipient of a scholarship to Relativity Media, a well known film studio and commercial dance program. Danika plans on pursuing her career in commercial and is inspired to bring this upbeat style to her classes.
